Chaturkala Bhairavar / Map / Incident
http://templesoftamilnadu.co.in/2010/02/thiruvisanallur-sivayoginathar-temple/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sivayoginathar_Temple
Once a man who was a habitual sinner was about to be taken away by Yama. He had indulged only in evil deeds and had not done anything good to anybody all his life. He ran into the temple to escape from Yama and started shouting and pleading to Lord Shiva to save him. Nandi strained his ears towards the entrance of the temple to hear the cry of the man and informed Lord Shiva of the same. Though, this man was a habitual sinner, Lord Shiva blessed him with papa vimochanam or absolution of sin because he had come to Shiva with total devotion. One can see the idol of Nandi with its head turned one side.
